Six Day Tour

Georgia is located at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, where traditionally crossed western and eastern civilizations, which unusually merged with local traditions that gave  Georgia the name of the country's oldest non-recurring history, culture and civilization throughout the world. Diversity of Landscape of Georgia from Caucasus Mountains and to the Black Sea makes the country attractive for the tourist who like any sort of adventure travel.

 

Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival In Tbilisi, transfer to the hotel in Tbilisi.
Guided walking tour to Old Tbilisi:
Metekhi panorama -> Via cable cars to Narikala Fortress -> Bath Quarter -> Glass Bridge -> Anchiskhati
basilica -> Marionette square
Overnight in Tbilisi.

Day 2: Tour to Central Georgia
Tbilisi → Jvari Temple → Uplistsike → Gori → Borjomi (200 km)
Breakfast at the hotel, early in the morning drive to central Georgia. On the way, first destination is Jvari
Temple (VI century), stands on the rocky mountaintop at the confluence of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers,
overlooking the town of Mtskheta, that is included in UNESCO World Heritage.
Next destination is Uplistsikhe – an ancient cave town dating from the first half of the 2 nd millenium B.C.
(100 km away from Tbilisi). The entire town is a complex of rock-cut streets, secret tunnels, residences,
temples. Uplistsikhe cave complex has been on the tentative list for inclusion into UNESCO World Heritage
program since 2007.
Afterwords, you’ll visit Gori (80 km away from Tbilisi). It is most famous for being the birthplace of Joseph
Stalin, the leader of Soviet Empire. In his memorial museum there are represented many items owned by
Stalin, including some of his office furniture, his personal effects and gifts made to him over the years.
Finally, arrive to Borjomi Resort situated in the South-East of Georgia (160 km away from Tbilisi). Borjomi
has excellent natural conditions, clean mountain air and moderate comfortable temperature at any period
of the year. Nowadays, Borjomi is considered as a synonym for healthy, mineral water spa and the lush
green nature of Georgia.
Overnight in Borjomi.

Day 3: Borjomi → Vardzia → Rabati Castle → Borjomi (220km)
Breakfast at the hotel, early in the morning drive to cave city Vardzia that is a cave town dug into the side
of the mountain in southern Georgia. The city included a temple, a throne room, and a complex irrigation
system watering terraced farmlands. The only access to the complex was well-hidden tunnels near Mtkvari
River.
The unique monument of old Georgian culture, the Vardzia complex of cave architecture was declared a
museum-preserve in 1938.
Next destination is Rabati Castle, located in Akhaltsikhe that is the capital and the biggest town of
Samtskhe-Javakheti region (70 km away from Borjomi). The fortress had been destroyed several times, as a
result it is unique mixture of different cultures.  Within the 7 hectares castle complex there is a temple, a
Mosque, a Minaret and a Synagogue.
Return to Borjomi, overnight in Borjomi.
Day 4: Borjomi → Sataplia → Martvili Canyon → Kutaisi (250km)
Breakfast at the hotel, early drive to West of Georgia. Kutaisi is the second largest city in Georgia. The first
destination on the way is Sataplia cave (12 km away from Kutaisi). Sataplia State Reserve is a rare
monument with its karst caves, an underground river, stalactites and stalagmites.
Next destination is Martvili Canyon (50 km away from Kutaisi) one of the natural monument of Georgia.
Along the canyon several waterfalls could be found where you can enjoy with boat trip in the natural
beauty of the environment.
Overnight in Kutaisi.

Day 5: Kutaisi → Mtskheta ->Tbilisi 250km
Breakfast at the hotel, drive back to Tbilisi. On the way short stop at village Shrosha to visit clay souvenir
market where are represented local terracotta handmade products. Then, visit of Mtskheta, ancient capital
of Georgia(UNESCO).
Overnight in Tbilisi.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport and departure.
